About the Labour Relations Board
The BC Labour Relations Board works with employers, employees, and unions on matters related to employment and labour relations in unionized workplaces. The Board is an independent organization that has authority under the Labour Relations Code to to decide applications and provide mediation services.

Labour Relations Code
The Labour Relations Code governs all aspects of the process of union certification (or unionization) and collective bargaining between provincially-regulated employers, unions, and employees. This includes how to acquire collective bargaining rights, when collective bargaining starts, bargaining agent obligations, or different ways to resolve disputes that arise under the Code. The Code operates in conjunction with the Labour Relations Regulations and the Labour Relations Board Rules.
