We are delighted to announce that, effective December 3, 2024, Andres Barker is designated as the Board’s Associate Chair. Andres has been a Vice Chair of the Board since 2018 and assumes the Associate Chair role with respect to both the Mediation and Adjudication divisions. Please join us in congratulating Andres on his new role.

Najeeb Hassan’s term expired on December 2, 2024 and he opted not to seek reappointment. The longtime Board Registrar, Najeeb moved to the Associate Chair role in July 2024 to support Stephanie Drake as she assumed the role of Registrar. Najeeb kindly offered to put his burgeoning arbitration practice on hold and accepted a three month temporary appointment under the Administrative Tribunals Act. He will remain appointed to the Board as a Vice Chair until February 28, 2025.

The Board is still accepting applications for two Vice Chair appointments. The competition closes on December 15. Learn more about the opportunity on the public sector organization appointments website.
