Executive Update

3.07.24|

After six years with the Labour Relations Board, Associate Chair Brett Matthews has left the Board to become a labour arbitrator.

Effective immediately, Najeeb Hassan will be the Board’s Associate Chair and Stephanie Drake will be the Board’s Registrar.

Najeeb has acted as the Registrar since December 2019 and has been an incredible asset to the Board and to the parties in that role. Najeeb’s term expires in December and, to our chagrin, he has declined to seek reappointment in order to pursue an arbitration practice. Stephanie has been a Vice Chair since 2018 and has proven herself to be a practical and pragmatic case manager and decision-maker.

Najeeb has kindly offered to move to the Associate Chair role for the remainder of his term in order to be on hand to support Stephanie as she assumes the Registrar duties.

We are thrilled for each of Brett, Stephanie, and Najeeb and know they will thrive in their respective new roles.
